November 2013 and Rhett-19 months old

This is my 2nd attempt at this post...Blogger deleted the last one. I am extremely late and am going to try and catch up. Rhett is actually 22 months old. So to backtrack:

At 19 months:

-Rhett is so much fun! His little personality continues to shine more and more as time goes on! His new thing is jumping and he loves to show that off to anyone who will watch. He is also kicking a ball really well.

-He loves his outside play time and fusses to come inside. The thing is, he wants to pull ALL of the toys out of the garage each time we go outside to play. His favorites are the little tykes car and he enjoys pushing the lawn mowers around.

-His sleep is finally getting better. He will go almost a week with waking up only once or twice through the night, and then regress a little bit. I feel like we might finally be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

-He still is ecstatic to nurse and I really think he is happiest when he is doing that. He just gets giddy when it is time and loves to snuggle in with me.

-We had to return to him wearing a bib at times for awhile because he had been soaking through his shirts from teething. I know it looks a little silly to see a 19 month old in a bib, but it was nice not to have to keep changing his shirts. -Speaking of snuggling, Rhett is such a little cuddler. He is super affectionate and will stop what he is doing to unexpectedly come up to one of us and give us a big hug or kiss. He no longer gives sloppy open mouthed kisses. I guess somewhere along the way he learned to do it the right way :)

-He continues to be a picky eater and it is plain challenging to find new foods for him. He loves cereal bars, biscuits, crackers, grilled cheese, pizza, and pretzels. Basically if it is a carb and contains bread, he's in! We do have one new food to mention though, and I can't believe that I am going to type this...GRITS! Yep, he's my southern boy. I still cant believe that the texture doesn't bother him, but he loves them. Jackson wont even try them!

-He gets so rowdy with Jackson now and the two of them run around chasing each other and acting all wild and crazy. I can't tell you how many times I say "Boys...slow down!". Rhett has begun hitting when he gets mad, so we are working on that. Nothing too bad...just a smacks mainly on Jackson when Jackson steals one of his toys.

-He continues to add more and more words to his vocabulary slowly but surely...choo choo, share, cheetos, three, six, etc.

-He had his first dentist appt and cleaning. He did better than I thought and was mostly tolerant until the end. The pictures look worse than it actually was. Jackson did well and we didn't have near as many tears as in the past.

As for the rest of us, November was a fun month! Jackson enjoyed wrapping up soccer season. He loves to run with the pack back and forth to the goal, but doesn't seemed concerned with watching the ball or trying to kick it in. He did actually score a goal this season, but enjoys the social aspect and running around with friends part more than the actual sport (I think). We celebrated Justin's 35th birthday together as a family with cake and presents, and then me and Justin headed out for date night at the Alley for bowling and then the Tattooed Moose for dinner. Thanksgiving was low key and we ate out for dinner at Oscars. I will plan on cooking next year, but it was nice going out and not having to cook too much this year!
